This sorry bitch will get a lot of support for governor in two years from the same people in the city she helped wreck.

She would lose in a statewide election by 70 points.

Not so sure I believe this part.

A handful of (mostly) white, wealthy Uptowners support her right now.
There are a lot of Black owned businesses that have been destroyed or hurt bad. The owners and employees none too happy with Teetee.

She has the locally controlled propaganda - The Times Pica-Advocate and Gambit/Pravda- working in her favor. That's about it.

The city was absolute trash before katrina, it actually started seeing some slight improvments in community investments and companies coming in.

It started killing itself slowly again a few years before this covid crap. It's on its death bed now

Exactly. Federal and private dollars, along with some of the media-touted resiliency, had it in a pretty good place circa 2010 or 2011.
Nagin may have been a corrupt, race baiting knucklehead, but he is, so far, the best post Katrina mayor of N.O.- by a huge margin.

NOT.SAYING.A.LOT.
But says something I guess...

The city has never been the same since Katrina and what’s left has become this warped idea of what yankee transplants think New Orleans culture is.

fricking nailed it with that statement. And those yankee transplants are falling all over themselves to kiss arse to "Da Cultcha," so the "Cultcha Bearers" appreciate them for it and hopefully don't face bat them while they're riding their bikes... or rape or rob them at gun point.

NOLA culture has really become one of appeasement and some hipster frick from Nebraska trying to convince you this nutria soup he made up is actually rooted in south Louisiana tradition.

It does not matter how bad she is, what she does or does not do, how many murders there are, how corrupt she is, how many lives and businesses she ruins, she is black and all the poor blacks will vote for her because she is black, period. It’s a disgrace! Once a city is lead by blacks it goes down hill fast, Baton Rouge perfect example.... not racist, just the truth

Without mentioning statues what made Mitch worse than someone who sent to federal prison.
