The last time we had a BOLD/SOUL/COUP/TIPS/LIFE/NOEL political power struggle was when Morial/Nagin were in office. I strongly suspect we will have another dynamic alphabet soup street war on the horizon as that political war brought down Bill Jefferson family, Rene Gill Pratt, Pampe Barre, and dozens of others.

It was an idea kicked around that If Broadmoor did not bring back half its residents within four months after Katrina their homes could be razed and the land turned into parks.

That idea was scrapped in March 2006.

Just because something was mentioned doesn’t mean it was supposed to happen.

The plan was scrapped 3 months after it was brought up. It was never supposed to or was even close to happening.

It’s well documented if you would just do your own research. Then you can come back and admit you’re wrong and I’m right.

Due to opposition from organized groups, one of which Cantrell was head of. Looks like we're actually in agreement.

She’s a TPOS from Compton and she’ll be worst than Bitch.

I seriously can’t believe the dumb fricking people of this city voted for her.

This city is fricked.

Just wait until her inner thug comes out and once people will realize it will be too late.

Where are you getting this from?

she will be worse then nagin but more in your face about it because she is a black woman so you cant say shite about how corrupt she is.

hell she had a clear publicized record of stealing and corruption put on public display and still won so why should she not be 1000 times bolder about it now?

I love how Cantrell has people like you brainwashed into believing she saved Broadmoor.

Have you any idea the amount of law suits the city would be facing if they tried to take peoples properties to make it a park?

The idea would have never come to fruition with or without Cantrell.

And the organization she was head of was the BIA, nothing but a neighborhood group. Hardly has enough stroke to shut down a master plan like you think it was.

Leveling Broadmoor to make a park??? Do see how ridiculous that sounds?

Did you know they were supposed to build a new stadium next to the convention center on the River? What happened to that?

Brainwashed? She helped counter the efforts. Hats a fact. She's no messiah but she did do that much.

I know she was president of her neighborhood association. How involved are you with your neighborhood association? They have more pull than you seem to think. I only know because I helped revive my neighborhood's association.

I’m a member of BIA. they don’t have as much pull as they have you brainwashed to believe.

You said she “saved” Broadmoor because it was “supposed” to be bulldozed to be turned into a park.

Neither of which is true.

She helped save Broadmoor which was largely marked to be turned into green spaces.

There was a .001% chance that was going to happen.

And now a new black eye for Compton Cantrell, it’s been reported that Bobby Guidry has given and Crooked Cantrell has accepted illegal campaign contributions 5 days before voting day.
