There was literally one map that had Broadmoor marked as a green space under the premise that “hey maybe we should take this really low lying area of town and turn it into a retention area to alleviate some of the work the pumps have to do.” It was a mere suggestion, and only like 10% of the residents had returned at the time it was floated. It was never going to happen—there are too many people with money in Broadmoor. It was simply part of the “let’s throw shite at the wall and see what sticks” planning that went on in late ‘05-early ‘06.

Now Cantrell dupes rubes like cubbies into believing there was an imminent threat to the neighborhood and Latoya personally was responsible for keeping Broadmoor alive.

Jesus. It was one out of about 100 maps that were floating around. But muh LaToya saved us.

I’m saying there’s a limit to how much one person or business can give and it’s been reported that limit was exceeded and Cantrell accepted both donations.

BTW, Guidry is building a new hotel downtown as well.

Why would he wait 5 days before the election when it was already clear who the winner was.
