Thanks to your post I was motivated to do a little digging into the Pravda network. The DFRlab link below is an in depth case study of the network. Amazing amount of detail.

"The Finnish company CheckFirst and the DFRLab are releasing an online dashboard aggregating near-real-time data from Russia’s Pravda network. Our investigation found that the network published more than 3.7 million articles that repurposed content from Russian news outlets and amplified information from questionable Telegram channels.

Trump seems to be unable to put out a statement that criticizes only Putin.

"Likewise," he says of Zelensky, whose country is the victim of unprovoked Russian invasions," the Ukrainian president 'is doing his Country no favors by talking the way he does'." Trump appears to be referring to Zelensky's remarks yesterday about Trump's "silence" and lack of decisive action as Russia continued bombing civilians across Ukraine.

The line was: "Silence of America, silence of others around the world only encourage Putin." It took Trump 24 hours after the biggest Russian air attack on Ukraine ever began to release a statement. When he did, he still managed to criticize the president of the country being bombarded.

Another record drone attack by Russia: Ukrainian air defence neutralised 288 UAVs and destroyed 9 cruise missiles

VALENTYNA ROMANENKO — Monday, 26 May 2025, 11:03

Russia carried out another combined strike on Ukraine on the night of 25-26 May for the third night in a row. This time, Russian forces launched 364 air attack weapons; Ukrainian air defence shot down nine cruise missiles and destroyed or jammed 288 UAVs.

Source: Air Force

Details: Starting at 20:15 on 25 May, the Russians launched:

- 9 air-based Kh-101 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic aircraft (launched from Russia’s Saratov Oblast);

- 355 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of decoy drones (launched from the Russian cities of Bryansk, Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.

Early reports indicate that as of 11:00, Ukrainian air defence forces have shot down all nine Kh-101 cruise missiles and destroyed or jammed 288 Shahed UAVs and other types of drones in the east, north, south, west and centre of the country.

A total of 233 UAVs were shot down by air defence assets, and 55 more disappeared from radar or were suppressed by electronic warfare.

The Air Force reported that there were five Russian strikes across the regions, and debris from downed UAVs fell in 10 locations.

The Economist published a "sensational" claim that Russian Shaheds are now allegedly "controlled via Telegram bots." However, a Ukrainian military radio technology expert and consultant known by the call sign Serhii Flesh debunked this myth by Western media.

Here’s a summary of his clarifications:

- Shaheds do not contain artificial intelligence — there is no onboard AI in these drones.
- Shaheds navigate using satellite signals, which makes them vulnerable to electronic warfare. This has been the case in the past and remains true today.
- There are no "notes from Yelabuga" (the site where Shaheds are assembled), nor have any ever been found.

However, the expert also pointed out several critical realities that Ukrainians must be aware of in the context of ongoing mass drone attacks:

Shaheds include a tracker that sends data about the drone’s location and flight parameters (such as speed and altitude).
This data is transmitted via mobile networks using SIM cards.
Notably, these SIM cards have been confirmed — through forensic analysis of downed drones — to be from Russia, Ukraine, and other countries.
Importantly, Shaheds are not remotely controlled. They don’t have such functionality. Instead, they merely attempt to transmit their location during flight.

"We are fully aware of this and do not allow Shaheds to operate using our mobile networks." - he emphasized

Ukraine’s interception rate dropped from over 90% in 2024 to just 30%.

Commander Yakout says, “Since January, Shahed drones fly at 2,000–3,000 meters. We can’t reach them with our cannons.”

Trump doesn't get it: he has no leverage over Putin.

You can't "sanction" the most sanctioned country on Earth. Russia doesn't rely on US trade — we barely had any.

At its core, this is a civil war fueled by Western meddling. America picked a side long ago.

No side wants peace. Despite endless talk of a “long, sustainable peace,” the real goal is the defeat of the other side

Putin didn’t launch the SMO to settle for a weak ceasefire

The US doesn’t supply Ukraine with weapons and intelligence just because it wants “peace”

The EU didn’t finance and meddle in Ukraine for no reason — and not for “peace,” either

Ukraine insists on its 1991 borders because it still clings to the hope it can win on the battlefield

It’s really that simple

Just to remind ourselves that not all Washington politicians are quavering, senile cowards -

quote:

Republican and US Congressman Don Bacon:

"It is a time for honesty. Peace talks are having zero effect on Putin. His goal is to dominate Ukraine & he won’t stop until he realizes he cannot win. The U.S. & Allies must arm Ukraine to the teeth, sanction Russia to the max, & confiscate the $300B in overseas Russian assets.“

Rep. Don Bacon would make a damned fine President. We can expect the Russian bots, paid trolls and useful idiots to begin attacking him any minute now.

Former German Chancellor Schröder supposed to receive money from Russia, but his bank blocked the money transfer.

quote:

Schröder has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nord Stream 2 for many years and, according to the report, receives around 200,000 euros for his activities every six months. These payments have been transferred to his account in Hanover via Luxembourg. However, they have not been included since the middle of 2024.

The savings bank is said to have returned the money and informed Schröder in writing. In the letter, the institute speaks, according to "Fears that US sanctions could hit the bank" if funds from the environment of Russian state-owned companies were still credited.

Question. So Russia is sending hundreds of drones a night. Ukraine is shooting down some, and no doubt filling the sky with anti drone artillery.....where does all this stuff end up when it falls from the sky???

Wouldnt it stand to reason it is falling on civilian areas, after all they are in major metropolitan areas. So this "targeting" civilians, women, children, and girl scout cookie factories is getting quite stale.

Why would Russia waste material on civilians when they could take out military targets. Its quite ignorant.

I do believe ukraine is now only taking out 30% of them, at a time when Russia has exponentially increased the strikes.

Thils ends when zelensky comes to the table and concedes the Russian territories, or he will just continue to lose oblasts, and unfortunately people.

Blaming Trump is ridiculous. When he said he could stop it, he thought cargo pants might give a shat about his people, apparently he does not.

His demands, the US give him more weapons, the US sanction Russia, the US or someone provide him a military after this ends. And he gets back all the territory Russia has reclaimed.

Well since he is not serious it looks like he is quickly finding out option B.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are being given more freedom of action, and if Germany supplies Ukraine with Taurus missiles, which is now considered likely — it will be the most powerful weapon in Ukraine’s arsenal, capable of striking over 500 km and reaching as far as Moscow.
