Senior administration officials told The New York Times that several times over the course of 2018, Mr. Trump privately said he wanted to withdraw from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Current and former officials who support the alliance said they feared Mr. Trump could return to his threat as allied military spending continued to lag behind the goals the president had set.
New York Times Derangement Syndrome prevents any of the cult members from reading that.

A leader of a NATO country postured for pulling out because he was tired of his country being daddy to the free riding passengers?

Without help Russia has a military with $70B annual budget.
How much of that $70B has gone up the nose and spent on hookers and yachts by various generals, contractors, etc. has yet to be determined

Half of NATO is actively funding Putin’s war by buying all their energy from him but Trump was pro-Putin

I'm usually one to bitch about politics derailing everything but this topic is part of the calculus. Russia is betting it's population can withstand economic pain longer than the west's can. They may be right.
Not only that, but what sort of constant updates do people expect?

But we have the leverage here to stick them with the riskier end, and it's not like aggression toward Poland doesn't drag us in.

The US and Poland are both NATO participants so who gives what really doesnt matter. Remember joint and several liability, same theory.

The Poles were way over their skis here, as a NATO member those aircraft have to come off the NATO inventory then they can be sold or donated. The Poles dont know how to do that so they have to get the US or Germany to do it.

I'd prefer a GoPro on the head of a Ukranian General. Maybe a live feed from Zelensky's office. Throw it up on Patreon and charge $5 a head. War funded.

Mr Pibb is owned by Coke. You’re thinking of Dr Pepper.
