Apparently the Russians lost 9 tanks and four infantry fighting vehicles in a friendly fire incident today.

Germany had and probably still have some incredible military equipment and technology. They had the best tanks, most of the best aircraft, until p-51s, and 38 etc joined the fight, the only jets etc. But they were advanced etc so they broke down often and were gas guzzlers. But no one wanted to see a Tiger or Tiger11 heading their way.
The Russians had a damn good tank too (T-38) and some good fighters that we helped them build and design but for the most part their equipment was simple easy to use stuff. They could overwhelmed the Germans with numbers etc.
After WW2 as they became more advanced and competitive with US etc the Russians tried to build advance weapon systems etc.
Only problem is they really suck at it. Their equipment , tanks, jets etc all have serious reliability issues and shortcomings. If they can overwhelm an opponent quickly they are in trouble. Their simple shite like Ak-47s are solid, still any gun guy will buy the Romanian built version over the Russian.
They have a saying there, “ If something breaks immediately etc “It must be Russian”
They are not really equipped to fight a protracted war.
