Mad much?
You don’t know anything about me
Bragging about money (that you likely don’t have) on an anonymous message board, we found a winner folks.
I do just fine for myself and my family, and I don’t need to exploit any third world countries or run to tigerdroppings for validation
Sorry your hovel in Ukraine either is already or will be a parking lot in the next year.

O&G paying more doesn’t mean the salaries aren’t higher than the average job. There are a lot of valid reasons for O&G paying what it does. It’s involving the most important resources in the world and somewhat volatile.
Great but you didn't answer any of my questions.

If I have myself as an executive at a high salary, and I hire my buddies as consultants at crazy rates, chalk that up on a no-bid contract to expenses, there is certainly a lot of money being made by someone.
You have a child's understanding of the world.

No. I was asking for specifics and I asked more than one question. You didn't provide any substantative reply.
Do you understand how stupid the argument is that publicly traded companies do not care about profits? Because you typed that out and apparently believe it.

Yeah, and I replied you fricking boomer. Learn how to use the website before you embarrass yourself and show your age.
I’m pointing out where the grift is and how the low-ish profit numbers don’t tell the whole story, not saying it isn’t important.

What? None of what you've typed out makes any sense. You understand that, right?

Well you don’t even know how to use a basic forum so this isn’t surprising from you

Lol. Apparently asking for something more substantial than 'trust me bro' is akin to being a boomer.
You are militantly stupid.

I hope you realize that it's pretty chickenshit to use Hemmingway as your avatar. He went to support the rebels against the fascists against overwhelming odds. You advocate surrender to them. Odd choice on your part.

Since you can’t find it, grandpa
I literally answered both of your questions.
Salary numbers you can Google yourself if you can use the old Type writer television as you call it.
Contract info is first hand knowledge and easily verifiable by…. Common sense?

quote: What? These are publicly traded companies. What does the phrase 'you don't need a ton of profit' actually mean in this context Speaking strictly by contract, you can inflate costs with salaries and consulting fees to fall under the % profit cap. So let’s say artillery shells have a 10% cap, instead of making them for $500 and profiting $50 per widget you increase costs so the widget costs $3000. It’s the same % profit, but your employees are making more than they would in most other industries and your consultant buddies and you also make a hefty sum and none of it is ‘profit’, it’s cost. quote: How much? I looked at RTX postings and I saw a mechanical engineer job starting at 64k going up to 128k but which needed a minimum of 2 years experience. That one job also required prior experience with Raytheon. I think one of my plant baw roommates in college got 60k straight out of school in ME. Looks like high 70’s to 80’s.

Like I said, you answered them poorly.
I'm looking on RTX right now at their engineer roles for entry level, and they are about the same as when my roommate was looking for jobs 10 years ago. Sorry but it seems like on this aspect you are full of shite.

What? Think through your position for once. You understand what you are suggesting?
You also don't appear to understand why the state, any state including Russia, the US, etc., would buttress their domestic defense industry. Think about what that would look like. Tease it out you weird bitch.

What are they compared to other engineering positions?
You don’t think that’s more than an entry level utility engineer makes? Or one with most state governments?
It’s probably not a massive difference either way over consulting, but generally more talented people enter consulting than small government or even utilities.

So to make our military better we have to overpay for shells, you dumb frick?
