Update: Russia has attacked largest nuclear reactor in Europe and it is on fire.
Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant

Surely there are some retired or military guys on here that keep seeing that 40 mile unprotected convoy and going nuts
quote:Drones are incredibly easy to shoot down. Hell, they crash on their own on the regular.
I have no idea how many drones it would take but it would be complete turkey shoot.

why the frick would NATO just disband? Russia was invading NATO countries for the last century. I know as an alt right bro or whatever you are, you are nostalgic for the USSR but that doesn't change the fact that Russia in various entities invaded Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Poland, etc. How many of them invaded Russia again?

Excuse me for asking, but what part of the decision making process did you ever have in US military? Moving a pallet of spaghetti sauce?

downvote me all you want, but if I was the Ukrainians, I would let it meltdown. Then the rest of the world would have no choice but to get involved

You guys are becoming caricatures of yourselves now. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Why would the peacekeeping Russians who just want to liberate their neighboring country blow up a nuclear power plant?

NATO expansionists have won the day, but they have scheduled a series of clashes that will mean a humiliating back-down by either Russia or the United States - or war. We have committed American children, yet unborn, to fight Russian children, yet unborn, over land no president ever considered vital.
This hubristic attempt to impose a US protectorate over Europe will one day be challenged. That day we will awaken to find that a new generation is not willing to send its sons to fight in places they have never heard of, simply because the current generation pledged they would go. NATO expansion is a rash and provocative act, unrelated to our true security interests and rooted in an ignorance of American history and traditions.
Pat Buchanan, 1999
Keep warmongering guys.

Because Putin will lose credibility within Russia if it’s seen that the Ukrainian people have it better.

What’s the prevailing wind direction? Russia may have just committed suicide

Here is a twitter thread of realists from Kissinger, Mearsheimer, Chomsky, and Burns among others warning us what was coming.

Good thread here, too.

It is intellectually dishonest to ignore the broken promises from the US & NATO regarding NATO expansion. It is lunacy to deny that Russia has legitimate security concerns posed by this expansion even if its response to these concerns is a heinous invasion. Both can be true.
