Lots of reports this morning that Pakistan is willing to sell 44 old T-80 tanks to Ukraine ... the same tanks that it bought from Ukraine in 1997-1999.
LINK
Nothing yet that looks like any kind of confirmation of this, but the Pakistani government is in the middle of a severe financial crisis, so they could definitely use the money.

No way. Only the US and the CIA gets involved in creating unrest and overthrowing govts. Russia never does this.

What a weird statement.

Okay, so Moldovans who are unhappy with the current government that Russian intel has found.

That’s not manufactured. It’s a real insurrection that is just being assisted by Russia. It’s no different than the US intel community’s involvement in Euronaiden.
These guys are amazing at telling a lie by almost telling the truth. The vast majority of people can’t see through the bullshite right in front of their face.

Norway will provide Ukraine with two complete NASAMS firing units in cooperation with the United States. – Ukraine has a critical need to defend itself against missile attacks, and Norway will assist, says Norway’s minister of defence, Mr. Bjørn Arild Gram.
In cooperation with the United States, Norway will provide Ukraine with two NASAMS firing units. They will come in addition to the two firing units provided by the United States last fall. NASAMS have proved to be an effective air defence system. Adding two more firing units will significantly improve Ukraine’s ability to protect its cities and critical infrastructure from Russian missile attacks. Norway will also train Ukrainian personnel in the maintenance and operation of the system.

A story from Wednesday that we touched upon, but didn't talk about one point.
Sky News:
It's one thing for Russia to be buying drones from Iran, but what does it say that they are buying bullets?
As I have said before, I never served and am no military expert ... but it sounds like a bad thing if your army is worried about running out of bullets.
What else is the Russian military running out of?
Sky News:

Iran has secretly supplied large quantities of bullets, rockets and mortar shells to Russia for the war in Ukraine and plans to send more, a security source has told Sky News.
The source claimed that two Russian-flagged cargo ships departed an Iranian port in January bound for Russia via the Caspian Sea, carrying approximately 100 million bullets and around 300,000 shells.
Ammunition for rocket launchers, mortars and machine guns was allegedly included in the shipments.
The source said Moscow paid for the ammunition in cash.
It was not possible to independently verify the volume of the alleged military assistance. One expert cautioned that the amount sounded high.
quote:
The source said one of the ships is thought to have departed Iran on around 10 January and the other on around 12 January.
Between them, the two vessels were thought to be carrying about 200 shipping containers filled with weaponry, according to the source.
The source said they were confident in their assessment of the amount of ammunition that was being transported.
"Two hundred containers on two ships are capable of carrying this amount of munitions," the source added.
quote:
The source listed the alleged cargo as comprising approximately 100 million bullets of varying sizes - 5.56mm, 7.62mm, 9mm, 12.7mm and 14.5mm - to be used in weapons such pistols, assault rifles and machine guns.

Makes you wonder what the Russian wartime economy is actually producing. They can't make new tanks, can't repair battle damaged tanks, can sorta refab the 1960's era tanks into 1980s targeting systems, are running out of cruise and guided missiles and artillery shells, have no real medical kits or equipment, stopped putting in airbags in Ladas because of shortages, having mass civilian flight cancellations due to lack of part, and now we are hearing that Iran is making them bullets?
I thought they have been making the same cartridge style since before their foray into Afganistan...

There were interviews with protestors a month or so ago. They were all Russians, not from Moldova.
Maidan occurred in 2004/5, not 2014

Oh no, those ships were hauling Zaffron

1) no it didn’t. You’re thinking of the color revolution.
2) not really sure why you brought that up anyways.

I dont care what it "says"...but more about what it means for the Ukes...which isn't at all good. And where do you think the Iranians got the money for that kind of stock pile to begin with...maybe a few pallets of billions in cash from a certain president had something to do with it? Talk about completing the circle of karma...

The first problem with this kind of thinking is that is assumes that Russia has to rely on itself for this...which the further along this goes, is clearly showing that Russia doesn't have to go at this alone. The Russia/China/India/Iran/NK alliance is real and the sooner people realize that, the sooner they will realize what the poor people of Ukraine are facing. None of it is good news!

lol I'm not cheering on anybody...just stating my perspective. Also, i served in Baghdad in the Army back in 02'-03'...so spare me your quips. Those of us who have actually fought in combat are looking at this from reality. Ive actually fought Iranian backed loyalists in Iraq. Cheering on Iran...lol

This bit is what bothered me. The people of Ukraine have been facing death on a daily basis for over a year. There are hundreds of documented war crimes. In many cases, after raping and murdering their parents, Russia has stolen the children (over 10,000 Ukrainian children have been taken). The homes, businesses, and farms of Ukrainians have been destroyed by Russian aggression. Russia's big effort this winter was to try to freeze the Ukrainian population by destroying their electricity and heating infrastructure.
So, when you talk about "what the Ukrainian people are facing," you insult them. They have been facing Russian aggression for a year and are fighting back bravely, at the cost of tens of thousands of their soldiers' lives.
