Look at any US policy paper from about 2006 on concerning Ukraine and the intent of almost every program was integration with NATO, membership was always a question, but the goal was to constantly move the ball forward. I worked there in a military capacity in 2008 and the mission was pretty clear.

And? It isn't like NATO hasn't been explicit about Ukraine's ascension to the alliance. They have been, as have various Ukrainian political parties.

The U.S. has been ruthless in advancing its interests in Europe and Asia through this opportunity. At the time the administration made its initial decisions in this situation, it was an objective fact that Biden was floundering and was very indecisive in domestic policy. His initial utopian belief that he could reach across the aisle and do big things was clearly naive. The economy was dropping. Russia and China were starting to organize against us.

This situation in Ukraine presented an unbelievable opportunity for the U.S. to get back in front as a world leader and to push Russia down. The strategists in Washington played it perfectly.

Regardless of anyone’s views of Biden as a president, there is no doubt that there are enough smart and dedicated strategists in positions of power in this administration to make a nimble policy decision to take advantage of an opportunity.

Biden may not be re-elected, but his administration has definitely put the U.S. in a stronger position right now than we were in at the end of 2021.

It's never anything of substance either. Just screeching about Twitter posts, with a few posts sprinkled in about sources, without any hint of irony.
