It was funny earlier this year to see Wolverines spray painted onto damaged Russian equipment. Ukrainians could identify with a 1980's movie against Russian aggression is what was quite apparent.

I just heard from one of my sauce(s) in Ukraine and they are getting ready to launch another offensive. My sauce also said that the Russians may experience some unexpected road and rail closures over the Kerch Straits due to thunder2 (that is the Ukrainian nickname of a Ukrainian built ballistic missile with a 1500 lb warhead and the range to hit the Crimea bridge to those of you who were not paying attention to this thread last month) this weekend. I cannot tell if my sauce is giving me real info or just wanting me to spread rumors because they know that Russian intelligence reads this thread.

I keep hearing the phrase, "cut lines of communication." In this day and age how in the world is this accomplished?
A line of communication in military parlance is made up of the logistics chain. I know it seems odd. You will see the abbreviation GLOC* which is ground line of communication. There are also ALOC and SLOC (air and sea) but those really aren't very germane to this conflict.
The military loves them some acronyms and often the more obscure the better. Two military folks can have a 20-minute conversation with the only identifiable English words being frick and shite everything else is a string of letters pretending to be words.
Not to be confused with g-LOC something those fast mover drivers can discuss.

The number of videos and pictures of captured Russian equipment reminds me
That Russia is still the largest weapons supplier to Ukraine.

Looks like the first guy plucked off the tank was dead before he hit the ground and good luck for the other two not being onboard when they hit the tree.
Notice the column of abandoned vehicles.

And by having Russian made equipment both pre-war and captured. No issues with interchangability

This is where I grew up, and still know many people who have worked on the MRLS line.

In the article, there is a picture of the remnants of the IP mill...my family's business was located about 200 yards to the right of that picture, I grew up smelling that damn plant every day.

Nestled in the remote backwoods of southern Arkansas, some of the nation’s busiest weapons plants are gearing up for historic levels of defense spending and to replenish the stocks of artillery, high-caliber ammunition, rockets, missiles and propulsion systems that have been siphoned off to help Ukraine even the battlefield odds against Russia. Widely circulated images of burned out Russian military vehicles littering the roadways are the result of Javelin anti-tank missiles. A major Ukrainian counteroffensive now underway has been fueled by access to the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, or HIMARS, which is helping turn the tide against Russian forces.
And the pressure is growing to keep the production lines humming to feed what has become a surprisingly long conflict that could stretch on for many more months before it is done. Demand for munitions in Ukraine has been so high that it has drained inventories in the U.S. and Europe. Thousands of missiles and artillery rounds and have already been siphoned off from armories on both sides of the Atlantic and now there is a scramble to replenish them.
But what the heroic mural doesn’t show is an endemic economic frailty that is placing that supply in jeopardy. The weapons factories are facing an acute shortage of skilled labor in a region that, despite the tentative signs of new life, is still reeling from two decades of population exodus brought on by the closure of a major paper bag plant.

Yesterday, there were reports that 7 Russian legislators from Saint Petersburg had submitted a petition to Duma (Russian parliament) to charge Putin with high treason for unleashing the war in Ukraine.
Today, a group of Moscow legislators called on Putin to resign.
Uh oh. It looks like Putain might have some troubles brewing at home as well.

They won't be redeploying from west of the Dnipro River. Those troops and equipment are all but stranded there

I posted a link to a video earlier today that got taken down, i suspect due to opsec. the video was of hundreds of Ukrainian troops moving down a road...at least 5 wide and hundreds of yards long.
Here is a video to what that may have been for or after.

I’m hearing Rumors that Ukraine will be going for the jugular soon. That jugular is Belgorod which is one of Ukraine’s stolen providences.
I am also hearing rumors that Ukraine and the EU have reached a long term natural gas deal. Ukraine will sell its gas from the Donbas and offshore Crimea to Europe in exchange for NATO membership.

The Germans, Italians and French need to get off of their arse and support them then.
Big mistake if true. That will give Putin ammunition for a full mobilization and will rally the Russian people. According to Russian doctrine he would have the go ahead to use at least tactical nukes. Are you trying to make OML go into convulsions?
