Wagner Forces were used in the Donbass along with unmarked Russian forces.

I think you are spot on. I watch a YouTube channel called 1420 where a Muscovite interviews Russkies on the street. One of his questions was about changeability at the top of the Russian hierarchy.
They don’t seem to like it. They think they should elect him but they want him to rule for a long time. They think this brings stability to their society. I was flabbergasted.

The UAF's goal is to kill 20,000 Russians in Severodonetsk and from what I am hearing and reading the Russians seems to be complying.

It didn’t seem to fit the rest of Ukrainian strategy when it was suggested, but I haven’t served so have no applicable real world experience to apply, so I read and moved on.

Russia deploying T 62’s from the Cold War era to Eastern Ukraine.
An RPG can penetrate 500mm, about 20 in or more of steel depending on the ammo type, the T62 has 102mm frontal armor at 60 degrees, and 242mm armor on turret at it's thickest. Not nearly enough to withstand even basic RPG rounds.
But an effective range of just 300m leaves the operator vulnerable. These tanks are rolling Russian coffins.

Russia has never worked well with weak central leadership. It’s invariably a disaster.
Yelstin is a good example of that, Russia was edging into failed state status by the end of his rule. Tsar Nicholas II is another, his weakness broke the country, and opened the door to the horrors of Bolshevik rule.
