That would be speculation...
This guy's story is all over the place, but his wife just died at age 43 from apparent complications from a knee replacement. Give him the benefit of a doubt. Or don't. But don't go speculating that she died because she self medicated.
People die after surgery. Not frequently, but it happens.
The NO weatherman, Bob Breck, lost his first wife to a PE. She broke her ankle hanging Christmas decorations and a few days later, threw a clot. Dead.
The BR nurse who was injured in an altercation with a mental patient, Lynne Sausse Truxillo, died four days later from a PE.
I don't know if CD's wife did or didn't have a PE, but it does happen. No reason to speculate. If you want your money back, take it back. But there's no reason to try to justify it by presenting a bunch of unknowable "facts". Just be thankful you're not in a similar situation as CD.

I didn't present any unknownable "facts". I just said that what the previous poster said was speculation which is true.

Yes - I’ve known too many to die from PE
I didn’t doubt this guys story - I just hope he uses the money for the funeral (they are way more expensive than I ever thought) and for ‘necessary’ things

It really hasn't moved down much at all. I don't know if that's because they're still processing the refunds or because not that many people requested one.

I never received an email from go fund me that my donation was counted and when I request a refund it asks me the name of the fund. I have no clue what it is but I’m beginning to think the Hobos at Siegan Lane are more deserving of my $50.00 and would prefer to give to them. You know the old charity begins at home routine.
