I know that LASIK is highly recommended on the board

I've searched old topics and found posts recommending people in BR and NOLA, but wondering about Acadiana

If no great recs, i'd have someone drive me to BR for it, but would prefer to stay local

It's not Lasik, it's Lahayesik!

According to Jake Delhomme, anyway.

Just had Dr. Allen Pearce in the eye medical center on Essen do both my eyes, negative 4.75 in both, about 6 weeks ago. Best 3,300 I've ever spent in my life. Can't recommend him highly enough.

I'd get my money back if I were you. Clearly, you can't see well enough to read.

Right cause good doctors are a dime a donzen fricking with your eye sight where you could potentially go blind.

I can see good enough to tell you to go frick yourself though.

Lahaye is the chit, but he is often paying fines for not using FDA regulated lasers.

Have you had lasik with lahaye?

i just talked to one of their reps

she said its 3790 for the Evaluation, pre-op, surgery, and all post-op appointments

she also said you can get a 15% discount for attending this thing or whatever

but while i dont want to pay a crazy amount for lasik, my main concern is who is the best

its my eyes, so if i have to pay more for a better doctor i would happily do it

May be a bit of a trip but Dr. Falgout in Houma/ Thibodaux is one of the best. He has his own machine and from what his assistant said he's the only one with that type of machine in the area. Several co workers have success stories with him. Total is $2,750 including pre and post op.

I know this because I was planning to get it until da barrel tanked.

I went to BR to Dr. Williamson. He's one of the pioneers and is great at what he does. It's been 10 years for me.

My wife had hers done by Charles Williamson last May, very pleased with the results, so happy to not have to deal with glasses, contacts, solution, etc... any longer.

No but he did my dad's cataracts. Was like a kid after the procedure, from not being able to see for years.
