Star shower laser lights.

What's the OP's take on switching from climbing ladders and hanging Christmas lights to this?

Trashy?

Seems like it'd be cheesier, but I've read reviews and people like them.

But I'm pretty conservative when it comes to Christmas lights (and gatorade) (and politics).

Yes sir. Just "going with" the commercial description.

Saw one last for the first time and I was amazed at how well it worked and how good it looked.

The guy had it pointed at his house and it hit a tree on the corner of his house. As the wind blew the leaves it flickered and jumped as leaves moved in and out of the lights path.

Walmart had them for $35. I almost picked up 2, but I'm going to hold out and see if they improve or lower the cost.

Seems like they would be easily stolen.

I know their paid programming advertising on tv gets on my nerves...but if the actual product is anything like what they promote it to be, it would definitely be better than the old strands of lights strung along the house...as long as it isn't overdone.

Don't work in Ohio. I bought 2 of them and they both broke within a short period of time because of weather. They are NOT weatherproof

I've seen some really shitty looking ones and some that looked OK. Idk if the more expensive ones look better or if it's just placement, but I've never seen an "impressive" laser light display.

Then you have to figure as more people buy them and they become common the less impressive they will be overall. Then they really will be trashy.

ill be trying one out this year. i put white lights on my house and i think a little splash of color from a laser light shining on the front of the house and up in my trees will look good.

no way id use a laser light only though. i always hang lights on the house

if that's trashy, I don't want to be clean. I want lasers in my trees.

I think they look pretty neat when done right, TBH. It's different if nothing else.

Laser is very easy but it does not look as good as real lights.

I had two people move in with me after they lost their home in the flood. The husband bought two of these to put in my backyard because he and his wife like to sit outside at night and enjoy the weather (for some reason hot muggy weather is their thing).

I have to admit, they are pretty cool. Light up my entire yard with red and green. Also funny seeing my dog run through the lights at night.

I could definitely see people using these for Christmas decorations. They work really well.
