It has been know for a long time he killed Tupac. Months after killing him, he was arrested by Compton police where he admitted it, but it wasn't their case so nothing was done.

There's some who believe that part of Keefe D's story is a lie. Yaki Kadafi of the Outlawz who was in a car behind Suge & 2Pac said the shooter had a "big black arm." That wouldn't have been Orlando "Baby Lane" Anderson. It would have been Keefe D or Deandre "Big Dre" Smith.
That's Kadafi being detained at the scene. He was killed not long afterwards himself in New York.
