Noticed how it said “rare events”, meaning that the majority of people won’t have any problems from the vaccine. You anti-vax people and your antics are hilarious.
If it's more than 0, why would companies be forcing their workforce to take it? I had to to keep my job

Last time I was at the Dr. we chatted for a bit about the Covid vaccine.

His thought was it was absolutely needed at first to avoid more devastating waves. Even with some unknowns. Also explained that many vaccines have similar rare inflammation-caused events. It’s what vaccines “do”… inflame the system to create antibodies.

Having said that the virus has mutated into a much less dangerous form to the general public. That’s also what viruses do… eventually morph into something that doesn’t kill off all its prey.

He was kind of wishy washy in getting the vaccine now unless you’re immune compromised.

The whole trying to force people to take it despite no full peer-reviewed studies for the public to review and clarify if there were any risks at all is what the "anti-vax" crowd such as myself had a problem with.

Shouldn't people have had this data before being forced to take it? Only an idiot would look at Pfizer asking to keep the studies under wraps for 55 years as well as asking for immunity from all adverse effects and think "This sounds like something I am willing to put in my body"

My kids’ doctor recommended my teenage boys NOT get the vaccine bc of the myocarditis stuff - so none of us took the vaccine

What? You wouldn't be at risk for the side effects related to the shot itself, which is completely different than the side effects of COVID.

Umm... Covid itself causes coagulopathy issues which result in sudden MIs, Stokes, endocarditis...

Thanks Democrats for silencing any dissent regarding Covid and the vaccine, actually.

saying this is stupid

people who didn’t get the vaccine but still processed Covid naturally are more susceptible to adverse side effects the virus brought into your body, than those who have the vaccine

You aren’t immune to side effects if you didn’t get the shot

Sorry you got duped.

Excellent study. It's a massive sample size and shows the difference between the Oxford vaccine (more prone to neurological and hematologic adverse effects) and the mRNA ones like Pfizer and Moderna (more prone to cardiovascular adverse effects). Of course the caveat, as noted in the results, is that the observed vs expected ratio (OE) has to be compared to infection to get an idea of the risk:
quote:

Moreover, overall risk–benefit evaluations of vaccination should take the risk associated with infection into account, as multiple studies demonstrated higher risk of developing the events under study, such as GBS, myocarditis, or ADEM, following SARS-CoV-2 infection than vaccination

For example, for the most part the OE ratio on the vaccines are somewhere between 0.9 (excellent) and 2.5 (meh); compared to one study where they found infection comes with a 617x increased chance of an adverse effect:
quote:

Frontera et al. [46] concluded that chances of having a neurological event following acute SARS-CoV-2 infection were up to 617-fold higher than following COVID vaccination, suggesting that the benefits of vaccination substantially outweigh the risks.

Also it looks like they studied 0-40 days after vaccination for the most part. That means we're not sitting around 3 years later expecting people to drop dead from blood clots

Overall, a really good study.

Here come all the posters who got the vaccine telling you they are fine. It’s statistics. 95% of people will be fine.

Others might have had cardiac issues, blood clots, cancer, etc

ETA:

You could say the same for Covid.

Both(virus & vaccine) were created in a lab, so I guess they got what they wanted both times
