Large US Cities with the Nicest People

In your experience, whose residents tend to be the most genuinely friendly?
I'll go with Tampa at #1 - Denver a close second...
Also pleasantly surprised with Chicago.
Of the top ten largest, Houston probably wins.

I was also surprised but my uber drive said if you go during the winter everyone is an a-hole.

Las Vegas. Everywhere you go, the employees are more than welcome to help, they go out of their way to make sure you do not have a bad experience and if you do (even if it is minor), they will make up for it.. But of course, there is monetary incentive involved.

Ive lived in Denver. People, especially the native Coloradans, were just as nice as the south

Denver's great. Most of the big metro areas in the south, too.
Northeast is full of jackoffs but they're usually alright, just different.

I find that people everywhere are nice if you treat them nicely and with respect. Maybe it’s just me and I have low expectations of people’s friendliness.

L.A.
Just joking. While I haven't stayed more than a day in L.A. I would be happy if I never go back there.

Milwaukee and Minneapolis were shockingly polite.
I was in Milwaukee a few years back for an Orioles-Brewers game wearing my Oriole's shirt. Some random guy on the sidewalk in downtown stopped to welcome me to Milwaukee, and said he hoped that I enjoy my visit to Miller Park.
Got the same vibe when we were at the stadium as well. If it wasn't so cold during winter I would consider moving there.

I've been everywhere man, it's OKC for sure. I wouldn't live there though.

This is the realistic answer.
Every place has their own culture and the way people behave towards others in one area might different than other areas, but is someone not nice.. If.. Let's say you cross paths with them on the sidewalk, they don't know you and vice versa and instead of smiling and asking "how are you?" they just keep tending to their business without acknowledging you? Is that person "not nice"?
But when directly interacting with people, common courtesy and respectfulness goes a long way. No matter where you are.
