How about you focus on the real issues facing your city, of which there are plenty, instead of monuments of stone; like a real leader would.

Mitch's official statement:

frick you. frick the city. And frick people who care.

Out of his own mouth:

quote:

Mitch Landrieu said, that a water feature to replace Lee's Circle tor represent Katrina and the healing powers of water will cost money, possibly $10 million to $15 million.

"Where are we going to get the money from?" Landrieu said. "Maybe we can put some public money up if everybody doesn't yell and scream about 'You ought to be filling potholes with that money.' I happen to think those kinds of public spaces are really important for the city and are worthwhile investments."

" The money could be raised through public-private partnerships," he said. It could be accomplished in time for the city's May 2018 300th anniversary

This mother fricker has the audacity to do all of the contracting and organizing and spend all the money to tear down the statues and then say he'd have no problem raising another 15 million and organizing the construction of major fountains if the stupid frick citizens of New Orleans didn't scream about better ways to spend that money. Like infastructure.

frick Mitch Landrieu. I cannot wait for his skeletons to be made public. He's pissing off the wrong people.

I can't. I'd bang my head through my wall and kill myself. And unlike mitch, I don't want my kid to grow up a piece of shite with a retard for a father.

quote:

We have young people in this town that have developed behavioral patterns of shooting each other over things that you and I would consider to be inconsequential," Landrieu.

Still, Landrieu says, the crime rate is not as bad as 1996 when he says we had 450 to 480 murders that year.

"The good thing is people's tolerance level is for it has gotten to the point where nobody want to have any crime anymore," Landrieu said.

That bolded part is funny. I consider crime, infastructure, education, and poverty very consequential and statues inconsequential. Mitch belives the opposite.

But yes, I do agree. People have finally moved to a point where they don't want crime. New Orleanians used to say "Hey, we love crime. Please can we have some more?! But now we don't want no more.!

Good. Now only if the white trash asshats posting up with Confederate flags and Trump flags on the Jefferson Davis parkway @ Canal will go back to their shitty town in rural bumfrickville.

Does he make unilateral decisions on this or is it by committee?

The thing is he wouldn't win the fight to take down Jackson and he knows it. Correct if I'm wrong but Jackson was never declared a public nuisance, the council nor the courts ever approved to have Jackson removed.

Remember...Mitch said that "he'd wait 30 days while the state debated SB71" before taking down the Beauregard and Lee monuments. How did that play out, again?

It's on the federal registrar of historic landmarks, it is one of only two in the country, the other is across the street from the white house and he would federally butt fricked if he attempted it.

Not too mention, you know, the war of 1812

Mitch thinks he's still in charge. I have news for the bitch, the mob is in charge now. Jackson will come down, then the Cabildo will be looted of all Confederate artifact which will be burned.

It's time to do the smart thing, move all the arts and artifacts out of NOMA and the Cabildo before the mob does it for you.

Also the FQ committee is the most powerful in the city and has some pull.

That hypocrite won't take down a statue of a man who was responsible for genocide, because where else would the networks get their B-Roll for their football games.

If he weren't the hypocritical twit that he is, he would have asked the Feds to take it out the city.
But there's no Cherokee voting bloc in La., so why bother?

I'd really like to know his reasoning.

Andrew Jackson may have been a POS IRL, but he was an elected US President. Those other statues and monuments paid homage to the confederacy. It should be pretty easy to see why Mitch wouldn't cross that line. Frick Mitch

Link? Does he explain why he's against Andrew Jackson coming down compared to the rest?

Hypocrite.

Probably has something to do with the American Planning Association calling it one of America's Great Public Spaces. LINK
