I can barely get myself untagged from someone's photo on Facebook and this dude has his entire identity scrubbed from the Internet.

He's on their Facebook page and a cached version of the company website.

Also found a phone number.

Yeah I saw that. I feel like the dramatic efforts for this guy and his family to hide who he is are bringing way more attention to it than if his name was just released when anyone else's would be. There are a lot of comments on each article about the accident very angry that his name is not released. I can tell you with everything that has been going on yesterday and today, it is not her family and friends posting on nola.com. The hiding his name has random strangers interested that may not have already been.

i just found his picture easily available on the facebook page of his business that he evidently owns.

they are doing a bad job of scrubbing.

and im sure his name will come out eventually to the public. Though i dont understand the witch hunt. It doesnt change what happened and all the facts arent even out yet.

I concur. It's rather odd. Thus far I've been able to track down a phone number and home address, swanky house if it is really his.

It is incredibly odd that this is the result of the untimely death of your friend. I wonder who is getting the payoffs.

Nah, I agree. I wouldn't have noticed it it was even being hidden because I have no idea what the norm is for these things. For all I knew, names are always withheld. It was the comments that brought my attention to it.

I guess when the name was released to those involved,it probably became very obvious things were being removed online. This wasn't the first time they met or anything so some people probably noticed when things started disappearing and I imagine grief makes something like that infuriating.

im sure its just the media covering their bases. you dont really think they are withholding his name because someone is paying them off, really?

I don't really see anyone judging the dude himself. What happened could happen to any of us. Hell, I've ridden with people who aren't under the influence of anything and still feared for my life.

If the persons name being withheld is the norm, I don't think people should be upset yet either. If it isn't the norm, well.. I hope there's a good reason.

The police have not officially released the drivers name, hence the media is not saying the drivers name.

Sadly, pending the full outcome of the investigation, you won't see the driver's name released publicly through media entities unless he is charged with negligent/vehicular homicide or any other charges.

You can pay people to clean up stuff that normal people look at, but it never goes away completely
