Still, with push button start, there is a mode you can put the car in that may allow you the fix.
Check your manual, I know my wife's Lexus has said mode.

Look online for a Toyota Techstream cable and TIS program. I bought one several years back for $35. It's what Toyota uses to make changes to your car.
I've used mine to program both new keys and remotes for My Tundra and someone's Scion.
