Can anyone confirm entergy’s power map that the area between Maplewood dr and I-10 between Post Oak rd and Hazel St. has power?

Not from there, but it looks like it. Does this help?

ETA: ah, you already have the map. Not enough Community coffee in me yet.

I was there over the weekend it actually was 30 tornadoes where the worst damage is. The downtown part of Lake Chuck with 100+ year old homes has oak trees twisted at least a 360 5-10 feet up before falling, not bent down and snapped.

Most of my friends had next to no damage. My daughter's house has a window that broke outward from atmospheric pressure drop and a few shingles missing but the red oak and large magnolia are both undamaged.

It's going to take a lot of work for homeowners to get back in after power is restored. Entergy is doing a great job. The only two complaints that I heard from dozens is from a former h.s. classmate and her Pussy Hat younger sister.

There is about a 1 mile stretch along highway 90 between LC a d Iowa where all the cement power poles are snapped. There was some serious wind through there.

It’s about half and half. If you live off Post Oak, you’ve probably got power. If you live off Hazel, probably not. My parents are across Maplewood Drive in Forest Hills and got power last night. When I pulled out of Sulphur yesterday morning, the light at the corner of Hazel and Maplewood was blinking. I heard power went out again after that but I’m thinking Hazel has got to be restored soon.

I know they were using McMurry Park for Red Cross handouts. Hopefully the lines of cars didn’t prevent power pole replacements.

Between Palermo and Tammy dr has been alternating between red and green on entergy map, but there has been power on since at least this afternoon (parents neighbors say it came on 10 pm last night). I wonder if the reported outages are individual houses that have some intrinsic electrical issue as opposed to the power grid. I appreciate the updates Amosmoses, traveler, and swampass.

We have power now since 7:30ish. On the way there from 108 it looked like everything north of Swisco was powered up

This is kinda what I assume. Green means ready for juice. Only way it’ll update on house by house basis is individual outage reports.

Several friends in SW LCH had power restored over past couple days and lost it again late last night. We were told this would likely happen as more grid portions came online but damn it sucks as all have small children.

ETA: came back on after an hour or so.

Went out on the porch this morning to put my boots on. Sat down in the chair and a damn snake runs out from between my boots. That's an ominous way to start the day.

Word I’m hearing around LC is there is a proposed class action being kicked around by people who have experienced failing Generacs.

Don’t know anything about whether it has merit but I know 4 people whose have failed and it wasn’t due to not changing the oil every 120 hours.

Think we decided we’ll be buying a Cummins when we build our house. Same price.

Negative but so far it hasn't affected us. All three houses are a pile of rubble by the road. Doing cleanup now.
