Lake Charles baws: I-10 or 210?

Driving through Lake Charles (heading to Florida) on Tuesday during the day, which route would you recommend? I know there is construction on the I-10 bridge, is there any construction on the 210 Loop? Is it worth it to just stay on I-10 and deal with the construction? Thanks in advance.

Waze it. But, I’ve never had it send me around 210. Morning, noon & night: Always straight through the I-10 Lake Chuck speed trap.

I think major construction is done cause I just drove over yesterday with no problems. However if you traveling at plant worker shift change I would check your route options.

When you get to BR on I-10 EB make sure you are in the single lane provided to the citizens of Louisiana over the past half century for transcontinental W-E freeway traffic courtesy of the outstanding folks at the LADOTD.
