Ok, so over 20 FTE.
many here think losing your account is the catalyst for justifiable downsizing. They're right. But it's only justifiable when your company relies on one or a few accounts to supply the business with sustainability or at minimum, your sustainability. You seem smart and likely saw this is a big issue some time ago. This company won't last with a business model of contract "kiting".

In his old company it's completely different than SB though. SB can purge to save dollars and move capital around to where they "think" they need it. Using human capital in their shell game is deplorable but somehow normalized.
In his company, management hasn't increased account base to a point where losing 1-3 accounts doesn't equal 30+% of revenue(just guessing). I reckon he saw this coming in a way. Smart guy though it seems, he'll bounce back.
