That's certainly the party line. Not at all what I have seen.

If you have a braniac kid, sure, ESA is great. Socialization is going to be kind of an issue. It's more of a free form school.

If you have a smart kid who wants to play sports, Ascension is far better. It is a far more mainstream environment.

That's my take. I'm not going to argue with you, but I have seen both schools operate for over 25 years, and that is the enduring theme.

Speaking of. Fernwood is really nice as well if you can swing it. If not, Austin Village is pretty good too.

Finding a neighborhood with families similar to yours is a big part of being happy. With a little networking, you can figure out where you want to be.

You gonna move here?

Yup - with a yard and grass to boot.

I like the emphasis the students put on good grades. They push each other to do their best. Lots of study groups amongst friends and it's a challenge.

Not at all. Smaller class sizes makes it easy to make friends.

Agreed. Don't send them to ESA. Sports are not their emphasis and barely on the radar.

I graduated from ESA many years ago. The ones who couldn't handle the pressure transferred to AES and talked of how much easier it was.

You seen that OFT that works 14/14 driving his Rolls Royce around town?

Earlier this year he drove to Dallas and bought his dream car, a 200k RR.

There are no yards in river ranch for kids to play in unless you buy a really expensive house.

This is not exclusive to RR. This is pretty much every house in youngsville and the new hoods popping up in Broussard.

Move where? I already live in Broussard. My wife and I want to move to either youngsville or somewhere in the city limits of Broussard actually. But we can't find any houses that have a yard. That is one of the top 3 things on our must have list when we buy.
