You know from this thread I lived ON Greenbriar, didn't go to ESA and drove a third hand Buick to school.

Yeah, but ESA when I was 12 was a lot different than it is now. Back then, it was just a non-Catholic private school. Now, it really is a snooty little yuppie factory.

And there's really a lot more of that bullshite in Lafayette than there used to be. Like I said in an earlier post, the River Ranch bozo mentality is taking over the city.

Novosad has been at KSMB since at least the early 80s. He's a guy that just never could get to the next level. I used to play basketball with him at Reds all the time. I don't know what he's like in real life, but he always seemed like a douche on the court.

Played there too.....He should really have gone into refereeing as a career. He never missed a foul.....And never committed one either.

Man, that is so right on. Never seen anbody play basketball without bending at the waist or turning their neck. I have to say though, he could play.

Real Superstore

I remember going into it (the one in BR) and thinking how weird it was that there was an eye doctor and other businesses in a grocery store. Now that's almost the going standard.

Not really - I was there in the 80s and it was snooty - the school liked to portray itself as college prep pipeline to the Ivy Leagues. They would actually convince kids to waste their money on going to private colleges that weren't even as good as the public institutions. I'll grant you this it wasn't as old Lafayette snooty as STM.

It's just different - when I was a kid it was Green Briar and The Settlement. RR is just the next generation. Lafayette has had a bit of a show your arse attitude since the 80's - maybe sooner but that is as far back as I can claim to have notice.

That place is one giant clusterfrick if you ask me. A fire hazard too. Those new apartments they put up there I watched em looks like it was all press board and no room for the fire trucks to get in there. I can't believe it got approved.

Besides the fact that I heard it's like a thousand dollars for a one bedroom that is no bigger than the ones that say Southpoint or Bayou Shadows.

Now the same people are trying to junk up Youngsville with the same shite.

I think you had put put a couple quarters in to get it and when it was returned you got your money back. It was meant to make people return the carts instead of leaving them in the parking lot.
