No joke, there are mexican places popping up everywhere in Lafayette. If you get a chance check out this new hole in the wall place in Scott called Torreto del Ray. It is in the shopping center by the Pigley Wigley. I think it may be some of the best mexican around.
awesome thanks for the tip

There used to be a Ninfas but it got bought out and went to hell. I remember the owner opened a Ninfas in what used to be the Last Round Up in Duson and it didn't last long. It's now a tity bar known as Stilletos and until just recently, still had the Ninfas sign up.

A few of those may serve mexican food, but they're low grade dog food. I'll have to try some of the newer ones.

It's still there on Johnston St. I believe. They were better when it was in the old location.
There also seems to be a Zesus now on every corner.

That's it. This end of town lacks restaurant choices so I hope it's good.

Yeah it went down when some Indians(dot) bought it. I remember as a kid going there 3-4 times a month if not more.

was that the house with the three giant angels and the big manger scene?
Also, any Acadiana alum would remember this.
all those "shake a lil' sumthin" parties that happened between '95 and '97 during the booty music craze.

Were down by Pinhook and Verot so there isn't much there. Tons is good, Chris Poboys isnt far, Golden Panda blows, Hot Wok isnt bad, Riverside is too expensive, Lafayette's is good, and a bunch of fast food spots

the original Red Lerille's health club was where Trophyland was on Johnston near Judice Inn

Don't forget T-Coons right there at the corner and that bar in the same shopping center has good burgers.
