The goalposts have shifted so far people don’t even remember why we shutdown. It’s not possible to sit inside and just wait until the virus dies out. People will catch it when we open.

It was so 2 million people didn't die, no wait it was to flatten the curve, or was it we need time for a vaccine

I remember NIH. We didn’t want to “overwhelm the medical community”!! Where’s my prize??

They’ve totally changed their story. And yes people will get it but I agree, you can’t hide from a virus.

It’s true

Guillory isn’t ideal but I’d take him everyday over whatever Shreveport has or Broome or LaToya

Lafayette pretty much just runs itself on fumes. There’s nothing there to manage anymore

I'm not gonna go there, but it will come out within the next year.

While he's the least retarded of the bunch, he's still a retard.

New Orleans is in a worse spot

City fully reliant on tourism with absolutely no tourism until next year

Yikes. And there isn’t enough money to bail it out again like Katrina.

It would be a reality show watching him try to run Orleans, Baton Rouge or even Jefferson.

aren’t we supposed to be staying home?

LINK

We have ~380 cases in Lafayette, with a total population of ~250k. We have also performed the 4th most tests of any parish (~15k).

All of the big events are canceled. NFL isn’t a guarantee to be back with fans. I’d say it’s going to be pretty dead, wouldn’t you?

His attempt to build a fiefdom wouldn't go over anywhere but Lafayette and maybe Lake Charles.

Oh, so it would only work in the two “larger” cities in Louisiana without a total shitshow of a government

Yeah, everyone knows how well managed New Orleans has been for forty years.

Do you realize that New Orleans still has the Port and is the economic engine for this state.

If New Orleans struggles the entire state struggles.

No one is flying in to take a cruise out of or go to a convention in Lafayette

Y’all act like the entire city is completely shutdown for a year.
