i have a small runabout that i launch at Big Lagoon, and we run down perdido toward Sand Island. we usually park about a mile from the east end and walk over to the gulf side. we won't see anyone all day, and can't hear "sweet home alabama" unless we play it. Roll Tide.

Interesting that you mentioned that. I spent 30 minutes recently trying to find an update on them. I know one of them had a significant head injury. Still a miracle that they survived.
