Laci Peterson was murdered 20 years ago today

Since his conviction, Peterson has been housed at San Quentin State Prison. His death sentence was overturned on August 24, 2020. He was re-sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole on December 8, 2021.
This was the first true-crime media story I remember following as a kid. I also remember the Amber Frey affair being revealed with wall-to-wall news coverage as well.
Coincidently there's a great video essay released today that really did an thorough analysis of the guilt of Scott Peterson. It's just over an hour long, but it definitely worth the watch if you want to learn more about it or reintroduce yourself to this story.

6 part A&E documentary/series is also a great watch.

At the end of the video they address that very question. Essentially they are all debunked cheifly due to the logistics of Scott's travel locations and eyewitness evidence due to their dog that got loose. I think he's undeniably guilty.

Had Scott Peterson just opened her stomach so the stomach gases wouldn’t have caused her to float back up, he would have gotten clean away with it

Sure, the evidence isn't overwhelming, but it's hard to overcome the fact her body was found at the very place he was using for his alibi.
So, you suggest he could have been framed? Scott says where he was that day and the killer takes her body and drops her in the bay after that.

Nobody holds on to a dead body, then dumps it later.
She wasn't kidnapped, either.

Wasn't there another Peterson dude who killed his wife or ex wife? He was a cop or something and he left his wife and moved with a new girl, just down the road from the wife he left?

I think he may be innocent, as well. Those guys who robbed the house across the street are who I suspect. I think she came up on them while walking the dog. They say they robbed the house the day before she went missing but there are witnesses who say that’s not true and the homeowners were out of town so no one knew it was robbed until after she was missing. A witness even described seeing a woman matching Laci’s description who was on the side of the road and being helped into the back of a van. A Van those men had. Their description matched those men. How many pregnant women are standing on the side of the road getting into a van on any given day?
