All sounds very similar to stories from a friend who went through family court in Florida. I guess it's the same country wide.

I hate lawyers. Majority of them do nothing beneficial for our society except line their own pockets.

I hate most if them as well. There’s too many which results in too much competition and that leads to doing unethical things and pursuing frivolous claims to earn a living. It’s not an honorable profession at all.

I’ve talked with more than one family law attorney who would not handle cases outside the parish they lived in because of favoritism issues.

Fun fact: Id rate judges only a bit higher than career ADAs. Maybe like an ADA with some ambition.

I’m all for this causing a change.
I got fricked over so bad. Tried twice to get things changed on my custody/child support stuff and the judge straight up said I’m not even gonna look at it. It’s gonna stay like this. No questions asked, nothing.
If your ex has parents that are willing to pay for the highest paid attorneys, the judges are gonna do whatever those attorneys want.

Nobody is arguing against the victim of a drunk driver taking them to the cleaners.
But this nonsense of games, particularly divorce lawyers, is a problem.

What’s the punishment for a rogue family court judge?
Being a family court judge. The only worse political job would be being on the school board. Every day having to listen to terrible people whine and complain about each other.
