Also would like to point out for any confusion.

The superintendent is in change of the troopers and dps. He is a trooper himself.

The lsp commissioner is not a trooper and is only affiliated with the state because he was appointed to oversee discipline of current troopers.

I read a few comments that had me believing people think it's the same person.

frick that noise.

He has a day to resign, or you straight-up dismiss him. No "calling for his resignation". He could still refuse that.

Why is the owner of a Ford dealership a member of a police commission?

Six of the members are appointed by the Governor; the seventh is an employee representative elected by the classified members of the State Police Service. Each member serves a six year term. When choosing an appointed member, the Governor must select from a list of three people nominated by the president of one of the state's major private universities. Current members of the commission are listed below.

Trooper Thomas "T.J." Doss, Chairman
Employee Representative
Seat Representation: Employee Representative
Appointed: 01/01/2015
Term Expires: 12/31/2020

Ms. Monica J. Manzella, Vice-Chairman
2nd Congressional District
Seat Representation: Louisiana College
Appointed: 10/11/2016
Term Expires:10/10/2022

Mr. Jared J Caruso-Riecke, Member
1st Congressional District
Seat Representation: Dillard University
Appointed: 06/07/2016
Term Expires: 07/18/2019

Vacant
3rd Congressional District
Seat Representation: Tulane University
Appointed: 3/14/2014
Term Expires: 03/13/2020

Mr. Calvin W. Braxton, Sr., Member
4th Congressional District
Seat Representation: Centenary College
Appointed: 06/10/2015
Term Expires: 06/09/2021

Chief Harold Pierite, Sr., Member
5th Congressional District
Seat Representation: Loyola University
Appointed: 03/31/2017
Term Expires: 03/27/2019

Mr. Eulis Simien, Jr., Member
6th Congressional District
Seat Representation: Xavier University
Appointed: 06/07/2016
Term Expires:06/06/2022

ETA: It is a very treasured and powerful appointment for obvious reasons if not abused in a very public manner.

This Braxton imbecile is a perfect example of how NOT to enjoy a formidable appointment.

Not standing up against this type of action sends a message to the State and the nation.

Governor honor code lol will not do anything.
JBE, has to keep up with the former Gov EWE to see which Edwards is the biggest crook!

The best medicine for this guy is if the town in Florida where he received a ticket tells him to pay the citation.

No, a democrat is what he always was. He just had to fool enough self righteous idiots on the other side to buy into his charade. With help from his right hand man, Joseph Jay, and Kathleen Blanco with a penis (Scott Angelle), it worked. Fools punished themselves in the pocketbook to prove something to Vitter. Suckers that fell for it deserve all the desserts the 'honor boy' will bring them.

Did y'all read the part of the article that says Jindal actually named him to the spot? Makes it even more curious as to why JBE wouldn't cut bait here. He has no allegiance to the guy.

i talked to a West Point grad a few months ago and he became irate when i asked him about JBE. He said JBE was a disgrace to the Corps of Cadets for using West Point to get elected and being a liberal goes against the honor code in so many ways.

The Honor Code says: "A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do."

That's quite an interesting interpretation your friend has.

That's awesome. That was a dick move by Linebaugh.

You never know who has ties to who, and how. Or who has done favor$ for who, or has dirt on each other.

Politicians for sure.

My uncle is retired LEO and had been doing consulting work with the LA State Police Commission for a while. He recently I guess some time in the last 6 months quit working with them. He didn't really give me any details other than saying that he didn't like how things had been run over there. Just gave him a bad feeling. Hearing this in the news doesn't surprise me too much.
