What did she say? She is my rep and she sucks. I hope someone worth a shite runs against her next term.
Her performance the other day was abysmal. She presents zero command of the facts, constantly hedging with “my understanding is…” and other bullshite. Constant fear mongering, false authority, appeals to emotion and a laundry list of logical fallacies. Incredibly horrible really.
The pathetic status of our state is so exemplified by polis like her, Pressly and the lot.

Seeing the huge number of potheads putting so much focus and stress on this in this thread is hilarious.

I don’t use. I’ve to this point never, not once, consumed anything that would have been covered by the proposed ban. I’m simply consistent within my political philosophical principles.
Have any of those?

Another one of these all of your rights and responsibilities belong to the government types.
The misleadership class of mouth breathing nerds and whales who poop themselves at the thought of honesty and integrity- Geaux butt hurt.

I’d try to explain the economics of manual labor based industries, but you’ll simply bark back with ignorance.

It’s not weed. It’s more fundamental to freedom and reasonability, but you, quite possibly, lack the ability to understand.

This is such a lazy statement alluding to thought that it's just weed, there are more important things for people to worry about in life and the world.
If that is the case, then why are state legislators focusing on taking it away when the negative effects on the state have been negligible instead of focusing on things that really impact the state like insurance crisis or crumbling infrastructure or doing anything that makes the state better than being ranked 49th or 50th in any metric.

On an industry related note. They get the only licenses and forever

Senate Bill 228, sponsored by Sen. Patrick McMath, R-Covington, sailed through the Legislature with little opposition and now awaits Gov. Jeff Landry’s signature.
Louisiana issues only two medical marijuana grower licenses each year. They are currently held by LSU and Southern University. That’s been required by law since the state enacted its medical marijuana program in 2015.
“They are the only two higher education systems in the country that are in the pot business right now,” McMath said, “and it is my belief that it’s time we get them out of that business and let them focus on higher education.”
To get their cannabis farms up and running, the colleges partnered with private contractors Good Day Farm and Ilera Holistic Healthcare. McMath’s bill will transfer the cultivator licenses to those companies and allow them to keep them as long as they file for renewal each year.
Good Day Farm, which has a much larger operation than Ilera, has close ties to the lawmakers who have given it a near-exclusive grip on a lucrative niche market. The company’s primary shareholder is shipbuilding magnate Donald “Boysie” Bollinger, one of the wealthiest persons in Louisiana and a major Republican donor. The company’s president is John Davis, husband of state Rep. Paula Davis, R-Baton Rouge.

You have a really poor understanding of how random drug testing works. Not really surprising. McDonalds can't do drug screens since they would have to fire all their employees.

I’m not currently in a position to be able to listen, but Miller is currently at the podium on HB 952.

If I actually listened to the semantics, I would likely have a breakdown

We need Facher08 (I think that's his handle) to summarize the events
