We installed the electrical system for this building a couple years ago. The design was supposed to be double redundant, multiple feeds, multiple generators, multiple UPS and was all tested every way possible. One of the UPS caught fire. We are there as we speak doing bypass work. 
If there is a weak link in a chain it will show itself eventually. Still not sure what design flaw allowed this to happen.

LSUHSC systems are down due to datacenter problems as well. Probably connected to this.

This. You just can't dump shite on electrical components without major problems. Fire suppression would have not kept this from happening either........

Yeps. They use this shite here.
Here's a vid go to 1:40. It doesn't destroy the equipment. But it's expensive and very bad for humans.

True that it wouldn't have kept THIS data center from going down, but once this one went offline everything should have failed over to the failover data center. That's IT infrastructure 101.

Agreed, and again, it is too early to say what the design flaw was at this time. We installed, not designed. This entire system was designed to never have failure..........you ever heard of the Titanic?
