This kind of thing is pretty in-line with the type of humor the KTLA hosts (especially Chris Borroughs, the male host here) inject into their morning news segments. Even more so on weekends.
Liberte (the weather woman) does typically wear more conservative dresses, so I'm guessing it was just an attempt by Borroughs to poke fun at her during a slow news day. She even came out and showed the dress that she planned to wear that day and explained it wasn't working with the green screen.
If the station really had an issue with her or the dress, they would have made her change or keep the sweater on the entire broadcast.
It's a bit ridiculous to go all SJW on this. Watch KTLA morning news for a few months and you'll start seeing that this is just kinda how they do things.

Yes. She even posted on here blog that, while they apparently did receive some e-mails about her dress, the sweater thing was a joke that she played along with.

It's my understanding that tv news has wardrobe people that choose what the on-air talent wear. I'm pretty sure she didn't wear that dress to the station.

They were likely getting emails from feminists complaining about objectifying her...sex sells etc. They then respond and get attacked for being sexist.

That's just KTLA humor. They mess around a lot, they were just messing with her on a slow day. They do it a lot, they're pretty genuine seeming people.

I don't get it, were they sitting in bed watching the weather with their laptops on? I just don't see how an email could 've sent, read, and a decision made and a sweater fetched ALL before the weather ended.
