Mayor Florist might have pulled a coup, getting a parade back to Kenner for the first time in 28 years. Of course, the hater of all things Nike won't admit it, saying Caesar came to kiss his ring, but whatever.
Also, it seems like the route change really, really was a big deal to them.
He apparently also isn't a fan of those who make decisions for Metry Mardi Gras.
I remember as a kid, seeing parades go down Roosevelt. Looks like it would be a different route, but would be interesting if this happens.
I had a feeling there was more to it. Krewes that size don't just shut down.

Carnesi, an avowed traditionalist, said the final indignity came this year. First parish officials moved Family Gras from the Veterans Memorial Boulevard median to Clearview Mall parking lot and reversed the parade route so that some processions would end at the festival. It was optional in 2019 - Caesar chose to stay with the conventional route - but it might be required in future years.

That'll go over like a fart in church...
However, I believe there's a bunch of members in Caesar from Kenner, so we'll see I guess...

I'm confused. How is going to "Kenna Bra" not the same thing as being dead?

Bunch of grown men dressing up like clowns and having mythical titles to ride on a float.
I'll pass.
I'll pass.

I can remember parades rolling down W. Esplanade by Muss Bertolino as a kid. Me and my cousin were two of the maybe 10 people who ventured outside to watch the parade.

Some happy people in this thread. Not sure why so many miserable fricks post here. Mardi Gras is awesome. Family, friends, food, beer and tittays. What’s not to like?
