The more I see people talking about kneeling for the flag brings me to the upbringing in school that people have gone through.

When I was growing up, we would all stand before class, place our hands over our hearts and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. If you wanted to be a “bad kid” and disruptive and cause trouble, then you would stay seated or whatever and you would face repercussions.

I’m guessing this was taken out of schools long ago, but this has caused the mentality that society has today. No respect for the heritage, no respect for anything because respect isn’t taught by social media or the internet.

So these people that kneel for something like the National Anthem or Pledge of Allegiance are not doing it for a cause, they are doing it out of rebellion and spite. If they are told that doing something is respectful, then they oppose it because, “you can’t tell them what to do, they’re famous” psh, please.

Why not just kneel during the game, stop mid-play and all just kneel? Why not kneel the entire game that the player isn’t playing? Why not kneel any other time than the anthem?

Because that’s when they are told to stand, stand for their country, stand for the freedoms this nation has, stand for all that is right. If you don’t stand, you fall and this country is falling hard right now. We need leaders to step up and raise the future generations with some dignity and respect.

I think white ppl should kneel Everytime they see a black person.

If mixed, kneel anyway.

The origins of the Pledge of Allegiance are in the socialist movement of the late 19th century. I'm not a fan of Jehovah's Witnesses, but I agree with them that pledging your allegiance to a flag above all else violates the First and Fourth Commandments.

People upvote the dumbest things on here and downvote legit comments so I’m good with getting downvoted. Means I’m saying the right things and it pisses some of you off.

I have no problem with people kneeling during the anthem. I don't agree with it on an ethical level, but under the law people have every right to do so as long as they aren't harming others. Seems like an issue that is really blown out of proportion.

Now in the case of the NFL, they can do w/e the hell they want. I just won't sit here and listen to people that say someone like Kaepernick was 'right' years ago when he started the whole kneeling trend. Dude received endorsements after endorsements since 2016 when his playing career took a dive when he refused to accept money to be a backup QB. He's just a scam artist that lucked out giving the timing of his supposed 'protest'.

No, it’s still done prior to morning announcements. I really doubt that it will continue, though.

That's not how it works. If its dumb and upvoted its usually because its clever.

But if its downvoted..its usually because its anti-clever, no pics, oweo, gay or overwhelmingly unpopular.

Maybe everyone should start kneeling in solidarity for the pledge of allegiance.

I'd like to see what 'protest' they can come up with next

Meh

You kneel when people are injured, out of respect. As long as you take ur helmet off, and kneel facing the flag, it is a NON ISSUE.

Now, when players are stretching during the Anthem, facing other direction, like one SF player did, that is d-baggery.

Face the flag, take hat/helmet off, stand or kneel and ur good to go.

I see you rednecks with your hats on during the anthem, so go frick yourselves and this patriotic bullshite. Taking off ur hat is one of the first things they tell you to do as a kid.

The thing I ponder is when did kneeling become a sign of disrespect. A lot of people get on their knees when they pray.

Honestly, I don’t even know.

I was going to say earlier to kneel after the games, but a lot of teams already “come in a take a knee” like coach said. Most coaches would say a little prayer then too. How many players were like, “screw coach, I’m standing”?

I also think white people should destroy a black monument for every white monument that is destroyed. Fair is fair right? Let's just erase all history altogether.
