Wonder if it is this guy, age checks out since this was last year:
"BATON ROUGE -- Authorities have arrested a man who they say was intoxicated and assaulted emergency medical services workers in Baton Rouge.
Citing arrest documents, news organizations report that officials arrested 32-year-old Micah West on Saturday (Nov. 19) on a charge of battery of emergency personnel.
According to the arrest report, West was intoxicated, confused and walking into traffic at the LSU campus.
EMS workers arrived and buckled him onto a gurney to take him to the hospital. While he was being transported, West unbuckled himself, grabbed a paramedic and threatened to kill the worker.
His actions forced the driver of the ambulance to pull over to request police assistance. West then kicked the driver before police arrived and handcuffed him.
The workers did not require medical attention.
It's unclear if West has an attorney."

He lived right around the corner, so you have to wonder if this was a case of being so inebriated he couldn't find his own home.
When I was at LSU, I was asleep in the bed when some dude started trying to beat down the front door. My girlfriend was in the living room and started screaming. I jump up and find this drunk bro screaming for his girlfriend to come out. He was about to break the window when his girlfriend comes out of her apartment next door and starts screaming at him to leave. If he broke that window, shite was going to turn real bad for him really fast.

Interesting. Not the first time he's had his picture in the news. I'm going to guess that he had some alcohol issues and this was likely alcohol related.

I was walking out of Ruth's Chris when the deal with the ambulance went down. They stopped on the side of I-10 right across from the restaurant and were in a knock down drag out with this guy. I was debating trying to scale the fence and go help them when they got the best of him and then the police arrived. Dude was insanely drunk and really freaking out. So I can see how if he broke down my door and was acting that way in my house I would put two in his chest.

If his apartment was around the corner from the one he was shot it I’m surprised the shooter didnt recognize him.
