Drag racing has been going on off Choctaw for years. I have a friend that owns a business that told me about this going on has to be over 10 years. BRPD, has turned a blind eye on this.
If you do not put pressure on them then they will keep doing it until someone gets killed driving to their business at night checking on an alarm or have call out from a customer.
This shows in the City of BR the sheriff needs to stand up and start cracking down as he is ultimately responsible for law enforcement in this parish.
BRPD, is just a private security for the mayor at this point. They are not protecting the citizens of the City of BR.

I’ve mentioned this before on here but a couple years ago my son and two of his friends were caught by surprise in tigerland near the bars by 4-5 thugs, guns put to their heads, forced to the ground and robbed.
Thankfully they didn’t shoot any of them just for the hell of it like these wild animals all too often tend to do, they don’t give a frick about anyone or anything.
BRPD didn’t do shite beyond the responding officers writing up a report. The robbery detective never even went to the scene to see if any businesses caught anything on their surveillance cameras, and the worthless frick lied to me about it. I know he lied because I went to the businesses myself after getting the runaround from BRPD for weeks and spoke to the businesses owners of the parking lot where it happened.
That PD has become a pathetic joke

Addresses east-west in BR start at the river. The 700 block is almost to the river.

I had tenant with a break in. He called the cops. When the police showed up, I told the cop that I have him ok the security camera. Cop said declined to look at it. My tenant and I were just looking at each other wondering why not. We also pointed out that there’s blood on the window pane that he broke to get it. Nothing. Sorry to waste your time, officer. All we got was a report. What a disgrace. On top of that BR will get another fat check from me at the end of the year.

That’s an understatement. I have no sympathy for this human POS. He drags his fiancé to an illegal drag race late at night in a shitty part of town with other thug POS. Is dumb enough to surrender his weapon (probably being carried illegally if he has priors) and gets shot. frick him and all that guetto trash around him. Wish they would all have gotten Covid and died. The city and community would be better off. Love how his SO picks up his hat and shoes while he’s limping around. Priorities!!

Sorry. I know the area and the people who attend these street races. (not personally but I know the mentality) Trashiness isn't even close to the correct word.
