She actually has a great point here, and God Emperor Trump has already agreed with her on one occasion

Learn your lesson you piece of shite

You knew when you had 2 strikes you better not screw up again but yet you kept doing it anyway.

You'll be singing a different tune when the Dems eventually take DC back and make it illegal to be white, own a gun, and drive a truck. Boom, 3 strikes.

While I think mandatory minimums on nonviolent/victimless crime needs to go away, I kind of agree with this:

But that is such an illogical way to think

Some things dont deserve a life sentence no matter how many times you screw up

I ask you as well, you would agree with a life sentence after your 3rd speeding ticket?

mandatory minimum sentences for non violent crimes are equivalent to third world human rights abuses. KK may be a souless idiot but she has money and influence and has chosen to try to do some good with it

she should be applauded for the effort

How about not breaking the same laws 3 fricking times? Wow, that was a hard reform to make.

If someone explained to me that after 2 strikes and that life in prison would be the next punishment , Yes, I would hope that would shake me into reality to not speed anymore or else to deal with the consequences.

It's quite simple.

Wrong. If you knowingly keep breaking the law of the area you’re in, whether you think it’s bs or not, you deserve what’s coming to you.

How many speeding tickets before one should get a life sentence?

You're ignoring the very obvious fact that the punishment is vastly too harsh for the offense. You say that the fear of life in prison would stop you from getting another speeding ticket yet fail to address whether that punishment is at all within reason, which of course it is not. Life in prison for an arbitrary "3 strikes" for non-violent, victimless charges is asinine.

If you are going to make a valid defense, it should be that the crime is heinous such that it warrants life in prison after a third offense, not simply that knowledge of a 3rd offense = life in prison policy should have scared the person into compliance, therefore oh well he deserves life in prison. That is an utterly obtuse observation.

I have no problem with this.

These life sentences for weed is a fricking joke. It would be one thing if the people were armed, they had a felony record. But 3 arrests for possession= 3 strikes you gone.

Had a guy in Missouri doing life, for 3 weed offenses, all under 1 ounce. Governor pardoned him, as he should of.

Life sentences were for felons/killers/etc not people who smoke pot

PS I don't smoke weed, and have never tried it or any other drug. But this shite is stupid

I didn't avoid it. You think there aren't any white people negatively affected by the existing laws?

It's stupid because an MIP/speeding ticket/whatever else yall keep throwing out isn't as serious as the drug charge. I personally don't agree with current drug laws, but I'm not going to keep breaking them while they're in existence.

Simple possession of pot is less dangerous to society though then speeding

It’s also less dangerous than a minor drinking alcohol

Our whole legal system is atrocious when it comes to drugs

The only reason an mip isn't the same thing as a nonviolent felony drug charge is because there isn't an arbitrary limit separating felony and misdemeanor for booze.

And? I already said I don't agree with the laws as they stand.

Doesn't change the fact that no one made this guy break, excuse me, get convicted of breaking those laws 3 times.
