No I have a Puerto Rican crew that does mine. But would gladly give my business to a local teen that was trustworthy and showed up every week.

Kids are not allowed to be alone or away from the home without adult supervision anymore and by the time they are allowed to be alone, they are not cutting grass

This. In my little corner of H-town, all we have is Hispanic yard crews. So, my buddy got his high school kid a trailer, a couple of mowers, weedeaters, blowers, etc. They get a few football player boys to help and pay them cash money. They named the company White Boys Lawn Service. You would not believe how many folks cut Jose and hired a couple of Gringo kids. I bet they have 20 yards. Main reason my buddy did this as to get his kid off his arse between the end of school and the start of high school football season practice. Heck, my buddy even pinch hits. I think they sold it to another high school kid as my buddies kid is now at Baylor.

I mowed a few yards when I was in high school.
Spent almost as much time chasing down people who wouldn't pay as I did mowing grass.
Maybe if you cheap old fricks actually paid bills kids would come work.
