Workplace just switched from brewed pots of coffee to a single Keurig make for everyone to share. They bought “pods” of the exact coffee we were using and the coffee I liked tastes terrible out of a Keurig.

Is this contraption supposed to be an improvement?

Agree. We bought one a few years ago and quickly switched back to our $30 Mr coffee

Never really had coffee out of a Keurig that often and when I did I figured it was just the coffee that was bad not the Keurig.

Starbucks Pike - which is pretty decent coffee for an office tastes awful now.

I just use it now for the hot water to make green tea with. Much faster than boiling water. Coffee is just awful out of it though.

If you buy the good pods they are pretty decent. If you went from like community coffee to community coffee pods then yeah it's terrible.

Use a Keurig every day. Have a reusable pod, so I control the coffee strength. I make a pretty good cup of chickory with it. Thick as mama used to make.

Agree. Keurig coffeee is not very good at all. Someone gave us one for Christmas about 6 year ago. After a week it went into the pantry until I threw it away.

Anyone got any pod recommendations? I haven’t been feeling the stuff I’ve been getting lately.

Yep. The reusable pod is the way to go. That way you can put whatever you want in it and make stronger than kcups usually are.

It’s terrible for office environments but fine for your house.

Taste like coffee to me

Coffee and vodka are two things I don't understand how others care about the brand or maker so much....

If this keeps up I might have to switch to tea. I don’t want to switch to hot tea. I don’t get hot tea or people that like hot tea.

Community Dark Roast only has a little bit of a drop off to me. Drink both K cup and regular brewed basically every day given that I'm a LA baw.

Add a pinch of salt. It cuts the bitterness the K cups are known for. The problem is it pushes hot water through fast. It takes time to brew a good cup of coffee. We have a Keurig for quick, no time to wait coffee. But, I have a French press for good coffee. Usually have the Keurig first thing in the morning, and a French press in the afternoon/evening.
