If the sheriff starts his defense with “the guy was sleeping with my daughter” he’s still going to prison.

Also, I don’t believe that story simply based on the looks of the judge.

Hey man. Quit being a **** and saying “problematic.” That just screams that you are a try hard. Maybe try “…why social media is such a problem” instead of coming off as a douche.

There is such a thing as jury nullification. Premeditated murderers have gotten off the hook before even though every jury member knew they did it. If the circumstances are bad enough a jury might let him walk.

Looks like he thought he was the sheriff, judge, jury and hangman. If whatever information he had is/was true its still likely he will be separated from whomever he was protecting /avenging for the rest of his life. Obliviously hard to understand some peoples reaction to very negative events but this has to be a 1st.

Judge looks like Bobby Boucher's uncle once removed.

Remember the SNL skit with Jamie Foxx as a baliff and olwhatshisname depicting a cajun judge in New England? Kinda looks like him.

That’s the bitterness of it all, if for some reason he isn’t convicted or gets a very lenient sentence due to a crime of passion, the code of the hills, etc. etc.. He’ll still be staring that bastard grandchild in the face the rest of his days.

He will most definitely be convicted of something. May get off of 1st degree murder but Ill bet he will be convicted of some crime. He had plenty of time for the heat to cool on his way to the courtroom. Society can't function in situation where this is allowed to happen and I would highly doubt any jury would acquit him totally. He made his choice.

This is audio (sounds like six shots not eight) of the fatal shooting by the sheriff of the judge in Letcher County today. 2:43 p.m. (Trigger warning - violence)

Either way, this story still has a lot of holes in it.
