I’m sure you have more knowledge on that subject than Kanye, who has probably had several first hand encounters

Such a good comment and something people don’t often think about.

Here is Lyor Cohn who ran Def Jam record label from 1998 to 2004. He had direct interactions with Kanye West.

He is currently the Global Head of Music at Google and Youtube.

If you wanted to pick who is the single most responsible person who picks what music makes it to the ears of the people of the world... what your children listen to, etc.... it would be this man

Here he is saying that "lean" and "syrup" drug use is such an extremely detrimental threat to society today... and is asked why then does he sign artists that rap about it and promote it.... essentially why HE promotes it... and he has no answer... and just immediately starts talking down to the interviewers that they aren't behaving as they should by asking him the question.

"I have mouths to feed. I have a business to run." Essentially admitting that he makes money off promoting destructive and harmful behavior.

Lyor Cohn Interview

Kanye has noticed this behavior his entire adult life

I remember when SNL flipped the frick out when he wore a MAGA hat.

I am not a big fan of Trump, although I am pulling for him because.. He is the president and I want to see the USA do well, but this was before Kanye went full crazy.. But I also think some of it is.. They tried to make him look crazy, like "Oh Kanye is crazy. Look. A black dude supporting Trump".. So Kanye was like "Oh yall want me crazy? I'll show yall fricking crazy". I wouldn't be surprised if at some point that dude says he is going get help or something.. Then a few months later says "I am better now" then puts out a banger album.
