I'd have traumatized these kids in college today.
I got a flyer earlier, an invite to a self-album-release-party. It was a girl playing her harp in a back yard garden...And there was a $5 cover.
I thought about framing that fricking shite, but realised it isnt all that rare.

I hate that a "few faculty" (implies 3) can make a statement and it makes a headline. Why does anyone care what 3 people think. It will get clicks and shares on facebook which somehow makes the opinion of three people relevant.

I laughed when an in-laws son told me about saving money attending college. He would scan the bulletin boards and any group promising "light refreshments" he was "in like Flynn".
Funny kid and frugal.
Transcendental meditation, yoga, book clubs, any cause that had to do with race, sexuality, gender, world origin, ecology, gaming, every tenet of Christianity, Judaism, Islamic, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Sikhs, and he actually stayed to listen to the presentation. He felt obligated.
There are people in this world and this site, that a discussion should turn into what they want you to believe. You banter back and forth and nothing is accomplished.
His proudest moments have been the guy that disagrees while supping on their dime. Even if it just a "rubber chicken sandwich.
