Isn’t the dog considered a regular cop? Shouldn’t this frick tard who left him in the vehicle be charged with killing a cop?
Yes, this is the policy in most places

Yet all these chuckle fricks think cops won't take your guns. They play by a different set of rule, and while there are good cops, most will protect the blue line and not give a frick about you the regular citizen.

Let's say, at a minimum, the K9 cost Livingston Parish SO $20,000 to purchase fully trained. That officer neglectfully destroyed $20k of Parish property.
If he isn't charged criminally he should be charged in a civil suit. Or have it come out of the union that represents him.

Also, I find it interesting that sending a dog in to chew someone up is not considered police brutality while an officer doing the same or worse would likely be brought under scrutiny by the public.
An officer biting a criminal would be pretty hilarious

Pretty sure I've seen numbers much higher than that. Like 3 times 20k.

Near me there was an alachua county officer who shot and killed his retired dog... a couple years later had the next one die after being left in his patrol vehicle. Nothing happened either time. Bullet to the head is not a legally acceptable euthanasia under Florida law.

No charges and cops wonder why people don't trust them and view them with a high level of disdain. Anyone who thinks that police care about your rights and will protect you from authoritarianism are delusional.

If this is true, Louisiana doesn't have a law preventing people from leaving their pets in the car.
And, you can be arrested for trying to save the pet from the car.
"Some states have made it illegal to leave a pet unattended in a sealed vehicle during times of extreme temperatures, and others have also made it legal to damage a vehicle to save such an animal in distress. Sadly, Louisiana is not on either list as of now. This means a dog owner who leaves their pet in a car during a South Louisiana summer cannot be penalized, though a person who damages the pet owner's vehicle to save the pet can be punished by law."
Clown World.

Don't doubt that one bit. So let's say the yearly salary of a deputy sheriff in Livingston Parish excluding overtime pay.
