I’m so sorry for your loss. I went through this 2 weeks ago. That sweet face brought tears to my eyes. Chewie sure was a beautiful dog.

15 years is an unbelievable life for a large dog. He was as lucky to have you as you were to have him.

RIP Chewie.

I'm going to hijack this thread a little to pass the word from a vet. He said the worst thing they see is that most owners can't stay to watch their dog being put down. He said that they are always looking around for their loved ones and don't see them for their last moments here. After hearing this, I have made it a vow to be there for my little 4lb maltese on his last moments. Please do the best you can to do the same.

Looks like he was a great dog loved and cared for by a great family. A lil tear in my eye for you. May you find another soon and cheers to the good times.

The whole family lay on the floor caressing and talking to him as he passed. Still crying my eyes out.

Thanks to all for your kind words and support. And to the cat owners that down voted, God Bless you too

Sweet. Dogs are awesome. And it's painful when you lose them.

Lost my schnoodle 7 years ago today. Still can’t focus on her pics or I’ll cry. But I love her successor. And she’s a senior. Will do it again until I can’t take care of a pup. It is worth the love they give. Blessings.

Sorry to hear that, had to put our 15 year old Australian Shepherd down about 3 weeks ago. It’s so damn hard but he’s pain free now. It was getting hard for him to get up and walk around.
