Was listening to a podcast and they mentioned it being "an evening of raw emotions". Just googled it. Jeez. Can you imagine that stuff happening now? I can see the pundits now.

Richard Pryor, one of the best comedians ever.

He was almost as funny as Dane Cook

He definitely was real with that speech

Just thought it was interesting and sharing. Was 15 years before I was born and not the sort of thing you ever really hear about.

Im glad you did,, one of the ironies of the politics of the left is that the "liberals" are some of the most racist/homophobic people you'll ever meet

People are people good and bad. All people are fundamentally the same despite how we attempt to label each other. I think it's wrong to continiously segregate the country between conservatives and liberals. I know plenty of both sides and none of them fit into defined niches.

my comment was based upon professional experiences . Inside the Dem party there is great disharmony between the AA, Hispanic and Gay activists/power brokers fighting for control of the party on both the local, state and national level.
That is not a generalization.

Richard Pryor's only equal was George Carlin - I love stand up comedy - I've probably watched 200 or so routines over the years, by dozens and dozens of comics. Seinfeld is outstanding. Robin Williams was great. For all his talents, people forget that Steve Martin is a passable stand up. And of course you have Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock.
But, in all honesty, the only stand up comics that truly matter are Pryor and Carlin, period.

“I sucked one dick,” he said from the stage, drawing his audience back into a scene from his red-light district childhood. “Back in 1952. Sucked Wilbur Harp’s dick. It was beautiful, but I couldn’t deal with it. Had to leave it alone.” The crowd roared. “It was beautiful

Well, yeah. A diverse group of people is more likely to have prejudices toward each other than a homogeneous group of white folk. Groundbreaking news here.
