Couldn't care less what someone wants to wear to Church

Don't think Jesus would either

Warm here in Central Florida.......had people with nice shorts and shirts, just like most of the time. Nobody thinks anything of it.

Don't think God is keeping score.

What is better...the person that is wearing jeans that goes on a regular basis because they want to go OR the person in a suit that only goes once a year because a relative dragged them along?

I think both are good.

Wore my jeans to carols by candle light - just got back.

Church was packed. Most in Jeans - very casual.

It was a good Christmas Eve and a beautiful service. God was praised. His son was glorified.

All that mattered.

I showed up in a robe and sandals. Dose Jesus require fancier duds?

Never in my life have I seen so many people wearing their “Church jeans” with boots.

I've never seen any pictures, paintings or drawings of JESUS in a suit.

Long sleeve button down

Every time I read this on the OT I'm convinced folks think it means there are buttons all down the front...instead of correctly referring to a buttoned down collar. In this case I'm sure of it again.

And you convince me that the OT can't tell time without spending $1500 or more

Dressing nicely shows respect for the institution. I don't think you should show disdain for those who don't dress well. But, you really should dress nicely for church.

The black churches around here - all the members dress to the nines.

This reminds me of the "dress shitty to court crowd" that I see on criminal day.

Shut up. That's total bullshite. It's a frickin fashion show fostered by the women who cackle or praise every single person there.
Guarantee your church would rather you dress in Walmart clothes and tithe more.

The older I get, the less I understand why we should dress up for church. Do we think God is keeping track of our outfits?
