I got pulled over an hour ago for speeding. Thankfully the cop hooked me up with a seatbelt ticket instead.

Yeah, he sure did you a solid. You saved him a trip to court and he probably knew that his radar documentation woukdn’t stand up to review. You rewarded the city that runs this scam with your money.

Court attendance only happens if you go and request a trial.

Then that cop probably gets OT rate to go to court.

By no means is the cop doing himself "a solid".

Did he write on the ticket "Pulled over for speeding"?

Nope I just looked. All it says is no seatbelt.

No doubt.

Take a Midol and rest your sphincter. If that’s your first in 15 years it’ll be easy to get rid of that. Minimum would be reduced to non-moving.

Paying a ticket isn’t bad. It’s the 2 years of insurance increase that get ya.

I think in LA there’s something you take like an online course or something isn’t there to keep it going on your record if it’s only one??? Someone help me out on what it’s called.

But what if the person who got the ticket didn't agree to that contract?

if you've got the time, go request documentation for radar calibration and proof of his training. They have to be routinely calibrated. If it hasn't been calibrated recently, you can negotiate just to pay court costs.

I do know it's $168 to speed in st grabriel. Just tell them you don't want it on your record. It's still $168 but not a moving violation.

A speeding ticket for going 1-5 mph over is ticky tacky and kinda bullshite. A speeding ticket for anything over 5 mph is purely on you and you deserve the shitty fine.

That seems awfully excessive. I’m pretty sure my last fine was around $30 for pretty much the exact same thing.
You probably had it “taken care of” and only paid ct fees.

Last time I got pulled over by the police for speeding was Friday, November 28, 2008. I was on my way back to Tuscaloosa after Thanksgiving for the Iron Bowl.
